To address this issue, Sydney Acoustics proposed the installation of Autex Cube 12mm on the brick wall and Autex Quietspace 25mm on the ceiling. Autex Cube is a highly effective acoustic panel made from 100% polyester fibers, which absorbs sound waves and reduces reverberation. Autex Quietspace is a lightweight, semi-rigid panel that provides excellent acoustic absorption, making it ideal for ceiling applications.
To begin the project, Sydney Acoustics assessed the room’s acoustics and determined the best placement for the panels. The Autex Cube panels were installed on the brick wall using a special adhesive that ensures a secure bond. The Quietspace panels were adhered to the ceiling for optimal placement above the boardroom table.
The installation process was completed over the course of a day with minimal disruption to the daily operations of the office. Upon completion, the boardroom had a more comfortable acoustic environment with reduced echo and improved speech intelligibility. Psychwire’s staff members were impressed with the results and noted that meetings were now easier to conduct, with participants able to communicate more effectively.
Overall, the installation of Autex Cube and Quietspace panels in the boardroom at Psychwires head office was a success. Sydney Acoustics was able to improve the room’s acoustics while maintaining the crisp aesthetics of the space by selecting white finishes of the Cube and Quietspace panels.
